Thursday's poem is by National Book Critics Circle Award winner C.D. Wright. She is the author of numerous books of poems, including One With Others (Copper Canyon Press, 2011), winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Lenore Marshall Prize. Wright is a chancellor of the Academy of American Poets, a MacArthur Fellow, and is the Israel J. Kapstein Professor of English at Brown University.
