NPR Premieres Margo Price's "About To Find Out" + Margo on Colbert

East Nashville’s Margo Price has released the second track from her debut LP Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, out 3/25 on Third Man Records and recorded at Sun Studio. “About To Find Out” is one of the albums rowdy, finger-pointing highlights, and is streaming now via NPR Music (and below!)

Margo will also make her TV debut on Tues January 19th, performing “Hurtin’ (On The Bottle)” on Colbert. “Hurtin” was picked by NPR as one of their best tracks of 2015, Pitchfork is already calling Midwest Farmer’s Daughter "a potential classic," and Fader dubbed Price "country's next star.”

Midwest Farmer’s Daughter is out March 25th via Third Man Records, available for pre-order worldwide tomorrow, January 15th. All digital pre-orders will receive instant downloads of “Hurtin’ (On the Bottle),” along with “About To Find Out” and digital album bonus track “Desperate and Depressed.”

Order the "Hurtin' on the Bottle" 7" single with B-Side "Desperate and Depressed" from Third Man Records here.

@david russell, DonTazeMeBro, etc.—the media mail option Cam mentioned wasn’t showing up earlier ( I was getting a very high minimum shipping option like you guys), which would be why you didn’t see it. However, it’s there now, so we can all order!

Definitely enjoying what I’ve heard so far, and love that TMR finally has a Nashville country artist on their roster. It’s very cool to hear how excited folks in Nashborough are about this release. And I would be VERY interested to hear what that Tall Poppy Red guy might do with Margo, if he were to by any chance produce her next album.

thanks, appreciate the response. guess i didnt see the media option in shipping.

David Media Mail is an option for a single LP - should be around $3.50 to Seattle! Shoot us an email if you have any other questions - vaultthirdmanrecords.com

wow! $12.40 to ship to seattle. that’sa $30 album. a lot out of my price range. what about media rate?

DonTazeMeBro

I am a huge fan of what I have heard so far. I really want to pre-order this but trying to understand the $9.45 as the cheapest shipping option. Just can’t justify paying almost half the cost of the album just to get it to my door. I know I am all the way in Minnesota but it shouldn’t matter if media mail or parcel post is made available. Third Man you might want to look more closely at the shipping protocol you are currently using and find a way to offer some alternatives for people who still want to support you and maybe don’t care about two day. Just a suggestion. Love Margo, will pick it up when it hits the brick and mortar nearby.

Margo might want to expand her repetoire to differentiate her content from Loretta just a bit… Maybe explore more contemporary issues like the fundamentalist methods of stalkers www.tinyurl.com/gvzlamv and the inherently biased nature of advertising or public broadcast used to disseminate hate… The impact of Women’s Prison as a track only seemed to reach as far as class-based cultural points of access permitted them. You go Margo! Tear down the fences gal…
