how she can effortlessly sound so tiny and so big. I don’t just mean in “it’s oh so quiet”. There’s childlike wonder in her angrier lyrics sometimes on the vocal end. It makes you innately listen differently.
For some strange reason, I really love her work. Most people I talk to either loves her or hates her. I don’t know why. I think you must have some imagination or get in touch with the artist side of your brain to get what she is laying down. Every time I sit down and listen to her, she always places me in an inner tube and down the river we go. Perhaps, you need to let go and welcome her in instead of hearing her while trying to live life in Philadelphia or New York cooking dinner and chasing the kids. For you who hate her, take time to chill and give her music another chance. Thank you for placing her in the latest Maggot Brain. The story is great!!!
