Kenneth Anger: filmmaker, author, queer art pioneer, Crowleyan occultist, disputed child star - feared and respected in equal measure by swaggering rock icons and the decadent Hollywood elite. It is a name which evokes mystery and grandeur, matched by an unparalleled 75+ year career as one of America's dominant counter-cultural figures. For the months of March and April, we proudly present The Magick Lantern Cycle, the fabled 10-film backbone of Anger's life work. This month's screening features the films Fireworks, Puce Moment, Eaux D'Artifice, Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome, and Scorpio Rising, all presented on 16mm film prints courtesy of Canyon Cinema.
