The Icky Thump x2 LP is sealed with a sticker, and the Vault team has showcased photos below on how to correctly (and incorrectly) open the LP jacket to retrieve your records.
First, we'll show you what NOT to do:
1. Do NOT try to peel the sticker off (trust us on this).
2. Do NOT try to tear the jacket in half (we tried...it didn't work).
3. Do NOT try to light the jacket on fire (it turns out that heat and vinyl don't mix well).
FINALLY, here is the CORRECT way to open the sticker seal on your Icky Thump x2 LP:
Simply take an exacto knife or similar blade (be careful!) and delicately slide it along the seam.

Voila! You now know how to successfully access your new Vault release. Get your turntable ready, your box set will be with you before you know it!
I needed instructions like this on Vault #34 …. when I slide the laser cut back into the triple case housing it snagged on of my lp cut aways…. big tear drop…. :(
I used a blow torch and my sticker is in tact but the records are trashed! I will need a replacement as soon as possible I think I know what went wrong, hotter flame… Waiting by my post box for replacement send asap…

Followed instructions. Got confused at step 3. Thought it said to set Jack’s jacket on fire. Most of disc 2 unaffected though, so I’m happy. Thanks TMR! :)
Yeah this would of been nice to see, before I tried to peel off the sticker. Now my cover looms like crap. Also, why would I want a sticker covering part of my cover ( using the exacto knife method)? I am beyond dissatisfied.
lol. I used an exacto knife. It worked perfectly. I guess i get a little rammy when opening things. It’s good that you gies did this. It reminded me to be careful opening up the album! Thanks!!
