Trust us, you’re a fan of Petra, Rachel and Tanya Haden. Chances are, you’ve listened to their performances with the Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Beck, Green Day, Weezer, or Todd Rundgren and have admired their talent without knowing from where it was coming. The triplets (daughters of bass legend Charlie Haden and born only seconds apart) have come together, after decades of discussing it, and brought to life a collection of beautifully sung renditions of folk and Americana jewels. The sisterly harmonies are the star of this record, which features the guitar of and is produced by Ry Cooder (Buena Vista Social Club) who pushed the girls to finally document their voices on record. The Haden Triplets debut self-titled album is officially released today on LP/CD and MP3.
To learn more about the record and the sisters, check out the following articles in which the triplets discuss their craft and how the record came to be, or listen to them live on WFUV at 2pm EST today.

Quizze, Thanks!!!
CINCI…. you are filled with good ideas and a positive perspective…great to meet you and I hope to meet more Vaulties who think like you I the future… could think of no greater honor in this creative community… cheers… I am buyin you a beer when we meet up in Nashville!
Quizze, Hey, missed you in the chat room so I’ll recommend this web site (((here = off topic but what the heck))) to you and anyone else interested in visiting or relocating to Nashville. Check out www.nashvillechamber.com , click “visit” or “relocate” for some very helpful/useful information. Good day to all! Oh, and I should mention, I think this release is amongst some of the better releases from TMR.
Raw, Yes disturbing news. It will be interesting to see what comes of it all. If TMR can’t put the second set out because of copyright infringements there is still plenty of today’s music TMR can put out. TMR is like the modern day PR, giving lots of opportunities to many musician/singer/singers and bands like this 3 sisters’ band/group. There is another 3 piece band/group that I think would do very well with a release by TMR. One of the members, Chris Thile, has already been a TMR recording artist. The band/group is called Nickel Creek. Their 2 shows in April at the Ryman in Nashville went on sale at 10:00AM CST this morning and the tickets sold quickly. I forgot about the ticket sale until 1:00PM CST and by then both shows were “SOLD OUT”. We can only hope for TMR to put out more great music like these sisters’ (like their sound) and I’m hoping for a Nickel Creek band show in the Blue Room and a TMR record out of that. Now that would be another show that would sell out quickly in Nashville!
Because the Hayden Triplets are likely to be featured on this paramount collection for sure dude….
Anyone worried about the next Paramount Box set? I see TMR and RR might be in a little trouble with copyright and ownership. I hope this does not affect the box set. That would suck.
Presales….here we come. Ry Cooder is a great addition to this release given his uncanny ear for the authentic range of individual soul captured as cultural essence. So glad to see these ladies get their own act in the limelight and congrats to anyone who made it to the Lincoln Center! Thanks again TMR and Jackster!
Really looking forward to this. When & Where is the limited edition release being made available?
