FINAL DAYS OF BLUEPRINTS

FINAL DAYS OF BLUEPRINTS

Sad but true, Sunday will be the final day of our BLUEPRINTS Paramount Records focused pop-up shop in Austin, TX. We have loved our temporary second home in Billy Reid's storefront, and it's been our pleasure to stretch our eagle wings into the Lone Star State. To go out with a bit of a bang, we'll have a handful of limited edition records available each day from tomorrow to Sunday.

Good to see they sold the attendee version of the TDW live at TMR. And also glad they sold a White Stripes tri during the Monday sale :) Thanks for that.

Now that sounds like a great way to go! If I was in Texas I would have grabbed the Gatsby soundtrack.

How I still wish my order for the DW live went through when it was on sale in the vault, but alas it sold out before I could complete my order.

I stand corrected @stlben it’s the attendee version of the dead weather

If you were able to get all the limited colored vinyl your heart desired, what would be left for you to yearn for? And what’s the point of that yearning, anyway? For it to hang on a wall or sit on a shelf? Can you interact with it, learn from it, can it transport you emotionally and spiritually the way the music that’s pressed onto it can? It’s sad to see a post about the Paramount sets exhibit turn into a begging session, even though the purpose of selling those limited items is to get people into the exhibit to see the sets. O what Third Man hath wrought.

In the early days of the Vault there was no online Vault Novelties shop. If we were really lucky we got an occasional tri-colour with our vinyl orders. Since the Novelties shop opened I’ve bought various limited items, yesterday via Vault Novelties store I bought some sweet singles with plum-coloured covers. Nice though it would be, it is really unfair to expect Third Man Records to put every limited edition vinyl they release into the Vault Novelties shop. There are people that perhaps can’t afford Platinum subscriptions and it’s good that some of those people can maybe get a limited edition now and then via pop-up shops etc.

That was a really nice pop-up shop. I got to see it when I was in Austin for Easter. Wish I could be there for this, but can’t. Hope you do more shops like this in the future!

@Jupitious if you had been on the ball you could have snagged one of those DW black n blues on cyber Monday like I did for 15 bucks. So there ya go so much for leftovers. Thes are probably the few they held back if any of those got damaged I. Shipping. O btw I highly recommend that release if you can snag one. I play mine several times a week. The feeling really comes through.
