He’ll be greatly missed. A true legend!! I felt totally numb when I first heard!! What a great talent lost to us all!! I think of a comment I read elsewhere which sums it up perfectly and I couldn’t agree more!! Just be glad that you were alive at the same time and was able to experience his work as it was released – such an honour!! (I still get emotional as now writing this!!). Was luck enough to attend the Steve Strange (Visage) who was in the Ashes to Ashes video memorial in Warrington England and Glen Gregory just back from touring the east coast of the US and Canada with a tribute to Bowie played Life on Mars – the whole audience was in tears!! It was electric a memory I will cherish forever!! Forever in our hearts and on our turntables!! RIP!!

Monday was a very sad day, but at night in Brixton that sadness mixed with joy, people singing to a warming acoustic guitar playing his tunes next to the Bowie’s mural, which was covered by pics of him, flowers, candles, a van reconverted in soundsystem playing his records just outside of Ritzy Cinema, which read “David Bowie, our Brixton Boy, RIP”. As a crying old lady told me after thanking me for handing her over some tissues “I am sad, but happy too, because people of different ages and countries like you and me can get along so easily because of his music, and that gives me joy and hope”. So true.
Some clips from the Ziggy and Spiders amazing last performance which was turn in the motion picture:
