Kids, don't sleep on this one. I'm telling you...it's really fucking good. To use Swank's words here feels apropos "spiritual post rock fifth world ambient jazz." As much as I dug his Calming Signals LP, this one is just light years beyond that. The entire office is abuzz, the stellar reviews are pouring in, there's just a solid electricity behind it all which doesn't happen for every release. This feels different. This is special.

If you’re lucky, you have a wet dream; worst case, it’s over and you stay covered by the sheet. Survival is temporary. i survived more than a few gop presidents.
my mom’s name was ruth. she wasn’t rich, far from it. but she was a survivor. dirt poor in southern illinois. married at 14 and a son at 15 in 1940. four more boys and two marriages. made the best country gravy and fried chicken. she rubbed 2 nickels together and created magic. helped raise nieces, nephews, and grandkids. she welcomed every kid from the neighborhood into our home. loved her pinochle, soaps, and jesus survived to 75, and it was over.
