BLACKWELL'S RECORD OF THE WEEK + GIVEAWAY!

Jack White

No Name

scum stats: wouldn't you like to know?

I can't say it any better than the countless number of fans already have, so let's get to the juicy part.

I'm giving away a copy of the rubber-stamped "No Name" at random to a comment posted here before midnight central time, August 8th.

Maybe your comment has something to do with names, or no names, or maybe it's just smart or funny or clever. Don't make me have to spell it out, jeez. I mean, if it's truly the best comment ever, maybe I dig out a test pressing of "No Name" for the winner. No pressure.

No home, no family, no safety, no money, no understanding, no love and no name…the story of many immigrants!

When I heard this music today it reminded me of the day when Jack came to the Cain’s playing under his own name ,he blew me away then as his music did today it’s amazing how much this man can put in a piece of vinyl but as far as a name I say The White Album is taken but to me this just should be the Blue Album because they both will be talked about for decades away

I’ll tell you what’s in a name, man. No name at all thats what… I don’t know much but one thing i know is when god made man she let him give names to all the animals in the beginning, a long time ago. But that which we call a rat by any other name would have it just as rough out here brother and you can read that in the newspaper or write it in wet cement for all I care.

It’s not the name that matters, it’s the music… people always forget the names of the artists, but no one ever forgets the melody of the music that touches their soul.
