BLACKWELL'S RECORD OF THE WEEK + GIVEAWAY!

Water Still Flows

scum stats: they don't tell me these things

Man this record is SOOOOOOO good. I can't hardly stand it and as per a conversation earlier today with Swank, the music is extremely difficult to describe accurately.

So I'm giving away a copy, hell, maybe two copies, of the Rich Ruth "Water Still Flows" LP to the comment here that is the best one-sentence description of something that is hard to describe. Can be a feeling, a taste, a mood, a song, whatEVER you want.

Get those comments in by midnight central time on June 27th.

Trying to explain the feelings of witnessing a total solar eclipse is a lot like trying to explain falling in love, in that you have to experience it for yourself because it touches so many different parts of your being and might only happen once in your lifetime.

Listening to music and a song reaches in and scratches the itch in your ear and then touches your soul and it gives you literal chills because it’s just so fucking good.

Instrumentals don’t usually hit me like that, but this album conveys so much emotion without words I had the chills by track 2. Fantastic pick!

Their music dives headfirst into a kaleidoscope of sonic textures that defy conventional categorization.
