Freddy Mercury's Love Doll
scum stats: copies on pink vinyl, available for less than $2 on Discogs
So whereas I can dig on the Green Wall single from a few weeks back...Heavy Pink Insulator, from the same region, same era, same record label, arguably the same generalized inspiration and realm...I dunno about this one.
It's got a similar raunch / shock factor to it, but with a tone (tenor?) that's noticeably more aggro and macho...I don't stan too hard on this one.
But yet I am still fascinated by the under-underground 7" vinyl scene from metro Detroit in 1991. I am learning and discovering more from it and I long for a neverending supply of these DIY efforts to illustrate a more complete picture of the largely uninspired surrounds that permeated the aimless left-of-center. This Michigan Alternative YouTube page is proving to be quite invaluable in that quest.
So while they may not all be hits, they are intriguing. Sometimes, that's all I need.
Frisbee Music!!
This one surprised me! The name of the band and the sound they produce is confusing my ears and brain. Great Find!!
