Words & Music May 1965
scum stats: gotta go for the super-limited edition on this one, limited to 7500 copies
Words cannot aptly convey how perfectly executed every aspect of this release is. Personally, when I saw this release announce, I was a little salty "that should be on Third Man!" I thought to myself.
So in complete honesty and all humbleness...I truly feel that Light In The Attic knocked it out of the park on this one, to a level that I don't know I could've ever executed on a similar release.
If you are a fan, well, you probably already know everything you need to about this one. I'm just happy to live in a time where I can appreciate such discoveries. Think of all the Lou/VU fans who've died and never got to enjoy this?
Not sure if this was released in time to be considered for this years Grammys, but rest assured, this is getting my hearty historical/packaging/notes vote whenever it ends up on the ballot. Highest recommendation.
I think I had that in the cart and got distracted.
Lou Reed, always a good choice.
Thanks!
5 hours later still listening to music on Tidal!
I try to avoid all things box set or box set adjacent, but this one got me.
