La Lom
The Los Angeles League Of Musicians
scum stats: black vinyl in massive quantities, bone colored (this) is limited
So I tried to buy this album on the day it came out last month. Went to Grimey's and Vinyl Tap and neither one of them had it. I think Universal's distribution had some sort of hiccup that day.
Anyway, the busy life I lead had me unceremoniously forget about it and failed to attempt to purchase again.
So thank the good lord that Zach from the band just sent through a copy, unsolicited, with a kind, hand-written note sharing how appreciative the band has been to Third Man, both through the pressing plant and their Blue Room show a couple months back.
I sat here for a good five minutes trying to theorize what a record would have to be for me to listen to it more than I have listened to these recordings this past year. Nothing. Pretty sure this and "No Name" will be the two records I've absolutely burned out in '24. And that makes me happy.
Needless to say, I can't wait to hear what their next stuff sounds like. But this album should still hold me over for some time.
Very entertaining live band to see – highly recommended.

One of my favorite albums this year — thanks for posting their 7"s on RotW a while back
