You need to take me on one of your record hunting trips!!!! Since I’ve been following your “Record of the Week”, I have learned that Detroit really has a huge place in musical history. Thank you for enlightening me to that fact. Her voice (and scream) takes you to that next level and I wonder why I’ve not heard of her before now.
Old gospel is really great music, whether it is country, bluegrass, blues or mountain music (I don’t get the contemporary stuff), you can actually feel the music, just as you do in this one you shared. You have yourself a rare find, congratulations. Plus, a $175.00 median price tag is not bad either!!! I would give anything to see your record collection, I will be in Nashville this summer :) Thanks for sharing……….
