The newest single from Volk is fist-pumping, true rock and roll with massive guitar reminding me of all the Eddie Van Halen moves you know and love. With Eleot on drums/vocals (dear member of the TMR Nashville storefront team) the two-piece pairing is strong on this one.
When Jello Biafra pitches you on a band where the drummer already works in your store there's some super positive mojo love bonus that makes the world feel like a smaller place. And the b-side is vinyl-only? Oh, my heart.
Volk's on tour now, tour dates below, and if you're a big spender, they might still have some of these SICK as all get out Wax Mage variants available at the merch table. Because I want to make sure folks go check them out (especially in some of these out of the way places they're hitting) I'll mail a record, free of charge, to Vault members who email me proof of them attending one of these Volk shows. (This is also a test to see how many people actually read this far into the write-up when they're not explicitly told there's a contest or freebies to be had). That’s a great contest, Mr. Blackwell. I’ve been wanting a Benjamin Booker test press for years. ;) lol Good luck to those who do this and see Volk. They sound great! It’s times like these I wish I lived in the west coast. Not just to see this band. I also hate the snow we currently have.

All a bit out of the way for me but seems like they would be a great band for a small unofficial south by gig. So maybe March will be an option. Always hoping for some bands that make it worth getting out in that chaos.
Too bad there is nothing on the east coast. My wife would kill me to book a flight to the west coast for a concert. (LOL) Good luck to all of you that can go from what I just heard; it will be totally worth it!!
