BLACKWELL'S RECORD OF THE WEEK

BLACKWELL'S RECORD OF THE WEEK

Mr. Phylzzz

Fat Chance

scum stats: three variations, this version is tri-color pinwheel limited to 200 numbered copies

The choice opening slot that Phylzzz has enjoyed on the Boris and Melvins tour found this LP landing in my hands.

Definitely landing as spiritual offspring in the Melvins mold, the songs here are SOLID, heavy without being imposing, strong without being overbearing, energetic without being contrived.

In short, you cannot go wrong here. If you see a physical copy, grab one, They are scarce. I expect more good things from this band both in the near future and for a long time.

And if you're game to drop some gofundme cash for a worthy cause, I've included a link here too.

But to think of all the words that were used during the cover art decision conversations.

Just saw them open for Boris and Melvin’s here in Tulsa. Solid band!

Very good description of the material on this album. Lucky you: I would be proud to have one in my collection, I will be looking for one. You have turned me onto people that I would not have even gave a second look. While in Detroit last week, I found three different Mutants 45’s and bought them because of your Record of the Week article and reveiw. Thank You and Thank You for sharing the gofundme link for such an important cause. Sometimes, people need to put politics aside and listen to the people who need the help and support and love to live their life as they wish………………
