Thankyou TMR!! I’ve been watching this over and over #addicted… Just got my package (9 days in transit, very cool) and I’m about to head to my best friends house to have our own listening party
They are not quite Butoh dancers… I wondered if they had some motivational concepts behind their gestures but i am guessing they are supposed to be still
Video not widow geeze!
I am so hooked on this song! And I saw those people in the suits moving a bit some on was not being still. I mean it had to be tough. All I wanna do is Dance. If they do an actual widow for this they sould have them all boogie down like crazy at the end.
I think they mean ‘gleams like a chrome fender on a Tesla’… I could be mistaken but ‘like a dodge’ seems a bit too cliche given the photo realism of this entire campaign …. Or do I mean champagne??? Choices choices choices!
Pretty wild and happening :)
Speaking of directing, I direct theatre, which is a totally different monster than film. I would love to hear JW talk about the challenges you face directing yourself. I can’t really imagine, but he’s turning out great work. I know he’s directed his own stuff in the past, but these latest videos, beginning with Black Bat Licorice, have really blown me away.
10/10 stars, 5/5, this is just fucking incredible. Well done, all. And I love that JW directed these pieces. Lovely and powerful work, sir!
By the way…. some time ago, I believe well before the first dodge and burn preview was shared with us by TMR… I had a dream… We are in a large dark loft space… there is a bed in the corner and a giant fish tank aglow in the middle of the room… Jack and I are laying on a bed in the corner of the room gazing up at the very high ceilings… on the ceiling are split open tires, taped flat with giant strips of orangish pink duct tape and glow in the dark stars… an eerie somewhat resemblance to some of the images/coloration of dodge and burn… kinda groovy
Ah… Rolling stone review… there’s the reference to Jack’s sense of lust and anger… the album is SO good! I wake up in the morning hearing the music in my head (no headphones).
