“…re-juiced '70s outlaw country… hangovers are a requirement for Brown’s brand of lady bemoaning and swagger slinging.” - Playboy
"Meet Detroit’s New Country Star, Craig Brown” - Pitchfork
We are excited to announce the official release of Craig Brown Band’s The Lucky Ones Forget. Detroit Native, Craig Brown delivers the combo of bartender-wisdom and a long love for rock n’ roll to your ears with his debut album recorded by Warren Defever (Thurston Moore, Yoko Ono, Iggy and the Stooges). Craig Brown Band’s debut LP is one part unstoppable fun, one part dolor profundo and one part deceptive cleverness.
Brown has been on a long musical journey, from his roots in idolizing early Alice Cooper to shredding in a slew of punk, garage and indie rock bands and now finally to a beerbar-tested, road-ready country rock album. Craig Brown Band finds a sweet spot conceptually between a silly but heartfelt Paul Westerberg number and the freedom and looseness of Bob Seger’s best. Color us impressed.
The Lucky Ones Forget is available today for purchase here or at your local record store. The Lucky Ones Forget is also available digitally for streaming and download.
For those in Detroit, come celebrate Craig's release, at your favorite neighborhood haunt, the UFO Factory. From 12-1pm get a Detroit Coney dog and a can of Hamms for only 5 bucks.
