Made for a mere $200, the first Ugandan action film is a riotous amalgamation of 80's Hollywood actioneers and classic Asian Kung-Fu movies, filtered through the gritty no-holds-barred immediacy of Samuel Fuller. Having swept through urban Uganda upon it's 2010 release, the film that announced the arrival of "Wakaliwood" cinema was recently remastered and released for a worldwide audience. Now it's become a worldwide phenomenon, garnering generous praise from Vice Magazine and the BBC World Service.

Arrive early for special Wakaliwood content like trailers, behind the scenes footage, documentaries and more, starting at 7pm!!

Post screening discussion with director Nabwana I.G.G., producer Alan Ssali Hofmanis, and various cast members live via Skype from Kampala, Uganda, PLUS all attendees are invited to become a part of the action. How? Well, we'll be shooting footage of the Light & Sound Machine audience to send to director Nabwana I.G.G. who will then incorporate our explosive demise into an upcoming feature film. WHAAAAAAT?!
