This month's Light and Sound Machine, as promised, is Part 2 of Kenneth Anger's The Magick Lantern Cycle. Filmmaker, author, queer art pioneer, Crowleyan occultist, and disputed child star, Anger is feared and respected in equal measure by swaggering rock icons and the decadent Hollywood elite. His is a name which evokes mystery and grandeur, matched by an unparalleled 75+ year career as one of America's dominant counter-cultural figures. This Wednesday, April 30th at 7pm, Third Man Records and the Belcourt Theater proudly complete the presentation of the fabled 10-film backbone of Anger's life work. This month's screening features the films Kustom Kar Kommandos, Invocation of My Demon Brother, Rabbit's Moon, Lucifer Rising, and The Man We Want to Hang. Tickets are available for $10 at thirdmanstore.com, or discounted for $8 for Belcourt Members.
