Third Man Books is proud and humbled to announce that we will be partnering with longtime Nashville institution The Contributor, a weekly newspaper published and distributed by our city’s homeless and formerly homeless population, to bring you a joint book release and event close to our hearts. In the last two weeks, we have spent a great deal of time with the poetry featured in paper. We have read through hundreds of submissions dating back seven years and compiled a selection that provides a window into the lives of The Contributor’s vendors and a valuable perspective on the city we all call home.

On October 3rd, Third Man Books will be hosting a poetry reading featuring poets who are both current and former vendors of the paper sharing their pieces from our new chapbook, Acknowledge: An Anthology of Selected Poems from The Contributor. Hot dogs and drinks provided by The Stone Fox will be available for everyone attending, and food is complimentary for all Contributor vendors. We encourage everyone to come ready to give to this important cause. Admission is free, and with a donation of $20 or more, you will receive a copy of the chapbook.
