We'd like to announce a new innovation in the VISUAL ARTS... More appealing on the eyes and intellect then a regular two dimensional poster and not at all irritating like one of those early 90's "Magic Eye" posters... it's the all new new Triple Decker Poster!
The Triple Decker Poster was created, designed and printed by Matthew Jacobson and Bryce McCloud using techniques from both the 15th AND 21st Centuries. It's composed of three separate posters that when combined create an all new poster on it's own... It's kind of a 'fourth wall' inter-dimensional type thing and you're going to want one, two, or all three of these posters. If you haven't already, go to the poster's page now and see how these posters look, and work together.
THE BLACK POSTER which features a peacock and vulture egg is letterpressed with metallic silver and blue. Jack's logo is laser cut out on the lower right.
THE WHITE POSTER is entirely laser cut, no ink has touched the page. It has a peacock cut out of it as well as Jack White's actual signature/autograph. The logo, is also cut out of the lower right.
THE BLUE POSTER is entirely laser cut as well. It has a vulture cut out of it and Jack's logo in the lower right.
When all three posters are put together it creates Jack's profile and the logo in the lower right is in three colors (one color from each poster).
THE WHITE & BLUE POSTERS will be for sale at The Ryman (75 of each per show)
THE BLACK POSTER will only be for sale here at Third Man today starting at 3pm and tomorrow (75 on Tuesday, 75 on Wednesday).
The Black Belles UK tour continues and tonight, no matter where you are you can watch them live opening up for The Horrors straight from Southend in the UK. Go to the Jack Daniel's site here for the live stream which starts at 7:50pm in the UK and catch all the action!
We would like to officially announce to all Jack White fans information on what we feel to be is one of the most beautiful and unique limited edition pieces of vinyl we've yet produced here at Third Man... The Jack White Blunderbuss Lightning Bolt Vinyl. Perfect in it's simplicity, a regular black LP with a brilliant flash of blue vinyl running throughout, these LPs are some of the most striking and interesting records we have made due to the variations produced in each individual record. Every single record is, in it's way, one of a kind.
In our ongoing quest to explore new and innovative distribution techniques, the Lightning Bolt Vinyl will only be available via the Third Man Rolling Record Store at Jack White live dates and other RRS apperances throughout the summer, while supplies last. We will limit the amount of Lightning Bolts sold at each location to 20 in order to more effectively spread these to different territories around the United States. They will remain on sale from the Rolling Record Store as long as supplies last.
Starting with Jack White's upcoming tour beginning on May 15th, The Rolling Record Store will be at many locations around the States this summer. Here is a look at the next batch of appearances. Many more dates to be announced very soon.
May 12 - Secret Stages Festival, Birmingham Alabama
May 15 & 16 - Third Man Records - Jack White tour launch and summer sale (more on that below!)
May 18 - 20 - Hangout Fest, Gulf Shores Alabama
May 21 - End Of All Music, Oxford Mississippi
May 22 - Vintage Vinyl, St. Louis Missouri
May 24 - Scottish Rite Theatre, Detroit MI
And now, about that sale mentioned above! We'd like to send Jack off in style for his Blunderbuss tour with a little tailgate party here at Third Man Records on the dates of his Ryman shows. And by "party" we mean "sale". But a FUN sale with lots of great stuff. The Rolling Record Store and some local food trucks will be parked in the lot, while in our Blue Room we'll have tables upon tables of White Stripes, Raconteurs and Dead Weather merchandise.. all at a great discounted price. Everything from a wide assortment of T Shirts, to tiny red theramins, to buttons, bags and lots lots more. We hope any fans travelling to Nashville for what is sure to be two legendary nights at The Ryman will join us from 3pm to 7pm on May 15th and 16th.
Last week was a torrent of blue lightning flash from the muzzle of Jack White's Blunderbuss... shows and television appearances in Germany, France, London, New York and Los Angeles... all resulting in Jack White having the number one spot on the top of the charts in both The United States and The United Kingdom. We couldn't be happier and more proud for Jack... Blunderbuss is a modern day masterpiece and nobody deserves it more.
Let's celebrate the only way the internets CAN celebrate.... by gorging ourselves on media. Check the main page on the site for the all the clips from Jack White's UNSTAGED Webster Hall show in one convenient playlist.

As you may know by now The Black Belles begin their first ever UK (and Paris!) tour this week. We have it on good faith that not only are they already landed and safe and sound within the confines of a hotel somewhere in London, but they have already sampled their first taste of fish and chips. Check back here often for updates on what other cultural stereotypes they intend to check off their list in the next coming weeks (safe to assume baguettes and berets are on the menu for Paris). But for now, check out all of their tour dates below and be sure to check them out LIVE while you can.
Just as excitingly, the girls are debuting a new video for their next single Wishing Well which premiered over on The Guardian in the UK this week. And what of that new single? Well, it's out everywhere - get it from the girls on tour and in shops everywhere, from our online store or from iTunes. Check out the amazing Miles Johnson designed cover art here and be sure to order your single from the webstore which will begin shipping immediately.
