Nashville Comic Con is right around the corner, and we are excited for a few reasons... 1) the Rolling Record Store will be open on the showroom floor on Friday, September 26th stocked with limited edition records (bringing a little sunshine inside, if you catch our drift) as well as all the RRS-exclusive merchandise, and 2) we are using this wizardy gathering as an excuse to host another COSTUME CONTEST!
Dress up cosplay-style as your favorite hero, villain, henchman/lady, sidekick, etc, visit our storefront during business hours sometime between this Wednesday, September 17th and Monday the 21st, and be entered to win the 1st place prize of a pair of VIP PASSES (provided by Wizard World) good for entry to Nashville Comic Con for the entire weekend with VIP privileges. (Approx. $500 value!)
The 2nd place winner will receive a set of colored Volume 4 Document Reissue LP's, while 3rd place will win a limited edition orange version of the Mississippi Sheiks Document Reissue Volume 5.
Every well-costumed customer will have their polaroid taken for our Wall-of-Fame, and we will decide on winners September 22nd.
Jack has unveiled the music video for “Would You Fight For My Love?,” the latest single from his new album Lazaretto. Directed by Robert Hales, the video was shot at the historic Cruise Room, Denver’s first post-prohibition bar, located in the Oxford Hotel. The video also stars musician and photographer Scout Pare-Phillips and many other musical members of the Third Man Records family.
Continuing in Jack’s tradition of innovation and – having released the World’s Fastest Record earlier this year – penchant for quick turnarounds, “Would You Fight For My Love?” was conceptualized, produced and shot within a 24 hour period. The six-hour shoot came together on less than 12 hours notice.

Comedian Bill Burr will release the vinyl album, Live From Andrew’s House, recorded live at Burr’s legendary 2011 Carnegie Hall performance, on September 30, 2014 from Third Man Records. The Live From Andrew’s House LP will be available for pre-sale September 16th at thirdmanstore.com, and everywhere records are sold on September 30th.
“As a stand-up comedian, to get to perform at Carnegie Hall is a milestone; so when I found out that I got that gig I knew I wanted to document the performance,” stated Burr. “Most of the material on this album is the same material that eventually became the special You People Are All The Same and I didn’t want to screw over people by putting out two DVD’s with similar material. So this is a special release of that performance that will be on vinyl only.”
Live At Andrew’s House was recorded at Carnegie Hall on November 11, 2011, four months before Burr taped his third hour-long special, You People Are All The Same, on March 3, 2012. The album gives fans the opportunity to experience a landmark performance in Burr’s career and the early workings of a set that became Burr’s critically-acclaimed third special.
We are so pleased to announce that very special guest Olivia Jean will be joining Jack White on the bill for his September headline shows. Olivia Jean's Jack White-produced debut solo LP Bathtub Love Killings will be released October 14th, and her Devil's Night record release show at Third Man headquarters was recently announced featuring a unique and gory twist...
To obtain a ticket to the Devil's Night record release party (before they go on sale) as well as a limited-edition version of the Bathtub Love Killings LP, fans must "pay by the pint" by donating blood to the American Red Cross at the Third Man blood drive the day before the record is released. One blood "offering" affords each donor 2 tickets to the event plus a copy of the colored vinyl record — one day early.
