This is a day we've been waiting for for some time now and a show we've always wanted to have here at Third Man... The Black Lips will be playing a post Bonnaroo show at Third Man this coming Monday June 11th. SEE The Black Lips like you never have before... live and IN COLOR. Per the standard Third Man practice, the show will be recorded live to analog tape and released as a Live LP. Copies of the limited edition Black & Blue colored vinyl will be available for purchase after the show for those in attendance only. Will there be posters for sale? There WILL be posters for sale and you can check out that Julian Baker designed artwork right here. Pretty great huh? Kind of like Desert Death Trip vibes... oh yeah.
There's some important info for this show.. first, due to ongoing construction in and around our buildings, specifically our ally/usual venue entrance, you will need to enter the Venue through our good neighbors, Room In The Inn's, parking lot. That entrance is on Drexel around the corner from Third Man, and it will be signposted very clearly and a friendly Third Man employee will be on hand to shepherd you into the venue. But just so you're prepared, here's a picture from google map that shows you where TMR, Drexel and Room In The Inn are located. PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT ROOM IN THE INN. Sorry for the all caps there, but it's very important. Plenty of parking is available in the parking lot across the street from TMR, and we ask that you please park there.
We also ask please (And I'm looking at you Bonnarooers) that you do not "Pre-game" in the parking lot. Our neighbors have been very kind to lend it to us and all they ask is that fans don't loiter out there and get up to things they shouldn't. The show is 18+ and there will be a bar available for those of legal age, so plenty of drinking can be done inside the venue. In fact, we encourage it.
Nashville let's get excited, Black Lips are bringing the party to Third Man. Cheap Time is opening the night up and we'll have the cool kids from Nashville's Dead on the 1's and 2's. Gonna be great. Tickets are available online now and in our shop from 10am tomorrow (Thursday). They'll move fast, so don't sleep on this one.

While The Black Belles were six handedly taking over the whole United Kingdom last month, they took a short break to ride around in a black cab and record a seldom heard acoustic version of 'What Can I Do?'.
Check it out. Change your life. Start a band.
Our pals over at Black Cab Sessions have it posted now on their site. Check it out. Change your life. Start a band.
We here at Third Man are all long time fans and admirers of Beck. We couldn't be happier to announce that he will make his Third Man Records Blue Series debut on May 28/29, releasing the one-off single "I Just Started Hating Some People Today" b/w "Blue Randy". The record will be available day of release from our online store, iTunes, our storefront in Nashville and other finer retailers nationwide. There will be no pre-orders for this single.
Both tracks were recorded in 2011 while Beck was in Nashville working on new material for his long awaited next album. The songs spontaneously came together at the Third Man studio on Beck's final day in town.
Inspired by the title of "Blue Randy," an extremely limited run of 100 Tri Color 7-inches will be available beginning 10am on Saturday June 2nd at Randy’s Records at 157 East 900 South in Salt Lake City. An even scarcer scattering of 50 Tri Colors will be randomly inserted in mail orders for the single placed through our online store.
The Black Belles take you on a tour of their favorite spots in their hometown of Nashville, TN. Video directed and edited by Jeff Venable for JD Roots.
The 7" vinyl version of "Freedom at 21," featuring the exclusive non-album b-side "Inaccessible Mystery," is now available to pre-order, with official on sale being June 11th.
