Daughters of jazz bass legend Charlie Haden, and sung to sleep with old Yiddish songs by their grandparents, Tanya, Rachel and Petra Haden were surrounded by music in early life. The result of their musical upbringing is a sound steeped in history and songs sung in the close harmony that can only be achieved from sharing a lifetime of sisterly togetherness and a near psychic vocal interplay from being born mere seconds apart. Their debut self-titled album is produced by Ry Cooder. Ry first heard the trio perform "Voice from On High" while his son Joachim sat in on an early performance, and he insisted on being a part of the record. The Haden Triplets are devoted to keeping the American musical tradition alive through singing the songs they love.
