The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams LP Pre-Order, Jo McCaughey Prints and Jeff The Brotherhood 7"

JEFF the Brotherhood. You know them, you love them, you’re ready to propose marriage to them. Their exclusive Blue Series single for Third Man is almost 12 minutes of godhead drone jams. The a-side of “Whatever I Want” plods along like the sickest things the Melvins have ever done, while the b-side cover of Tiger B. Smith’s “Everything I Need” is raw chugging punk rock with attitude to spare.

The video for “Whatever I Want” was directed by Third Man’s in-house photog Jo McCaughey and is sick and twisted in all the best ways. It will premier on RollingStone.com on the single release date, tomorrow - October 4th.

Speaking of Jo McCaughey and her amazing video, we thought this would be a great time to announce the sale of 3 Exclusive images, the first to come from the TMR Studio Dark Room, from the set of The Dead Weather’s video shoot for their single “I Cut Like A Buffalo”. Jo is an indispensible part of the Third Man family, having shot most of the sleeve art for the Blue and Green Series of singles, and an ever present documentarian for our live shows, events and behind the scenes day to day life here at Third Man. We’re happy to share these glimpses into Jo’s viewpoint with you.

Also of interest is an album called “The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams.” Stemming from unused lyrics left behind by the legendary singer after his death in 1953 and spearheaded by Bob Dylan, the album has a wide spectrum of current artists putting the music to Williams’ lyrics with fantastic results. Dylan, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Norah Jones, Jack White and Merle Haggard are just some of the illustrious names to grace this truly unique project. The CD/download will be available October 4th via Columbia and the LP will be available from Third Man later in the month. You can listen to Jack White's version of "You Know That I Know" on Rolling Stone HERE. We are beyond humbled to be involved in such a beautiful release.
